The automatic perpetual 2236 caliber is entirely manufactured by Rolex and certified by COSC. Along with bi-directional winding via Perpetual rotor, it also features a Rolex-patented Syloxi hairspring, which significantly improves the regularity of the oscillator and the precision of the watch. On the silver dial set with diamonds hours, minutes and seconds are shown by centre hands, while instantaneous date is shown in an aperture at the three o'clock position. The 950 platinum Oyster case measures 28mm in diameter and features domed bezel as well as scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens for the date aperture. It is waterproof to 100m due to the twinlock double waterproofness system of the screw-down crown and monobloc middle case, as well as the hermetic screw-down case back. The case is mounted onto 950 platinum President bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links and a concealed folding Crownclasp.
