The 50 Fathoms tag of the Blancpain 50 Fathoms watch is coined from the water resistance capability of the watch - It resists water to a depth of 300m/1000ft (a fathom is equal to 6 meters). The watch features a 18K rose gold case with a unidirectional rotating bezel and a back made from quality glare-proof sapphire crystal glass. The dial has a metallic black finish and features a date display between the 4 and 5 o'clock hour markers in addition to the compulsory hours, minutes, and seconds functions. The strap is made from black fabric and has a tang clasp.
