Swiss watchmakers are seeing a banner year. Two of the three largest watch companies are reporting record sales in the first half of 2011, despite continuing economic troubles around the world.
There's a bit of a cloud, however; as we reported earlier, European antitrust authorities are investigating those three companies for anticompetitive practices. There's some feeling that their success came as a result of ethically questionable behavior.
Swatch, the world's largest watchmaker and the only company to confirm that it was a target of the investigations, reported record sales so far this year.
